Listed below are responses to questions we frequently are asked by Experienced Agents:
There are many different pay plan options at RE/MAX Masters, and you may choose the one that best suits your family's budget. The truth is it is the best value available for a full-time real estate professional. We have 100% plans, “home office” plans, and even split plans (the RE/MAX Assistance Plan, aka RAP) that takes your risk and costs way, way down.
We have a philosophy of "teaching you how to fish, rather than giving you a fish" at RE/MAX Masters. In other words, we are very successful at teaching our agents how to generate their own leads. However, we've found that our agents are never at a loss for resources on new leads. With the addition of "LeadStreet" to RE/MAX in early 2006, most of our agents receive multiple leads every month from the web site, in addition to our other sources.
Our leading edge training programs almost insure that you will get more leads than you ever have before.
Historically we find that an agent joining us from a traditional broker will gain an additional 30% in income just by getting all of the leads that used to go to their broker and the floor agents.
Never. Every single call is answered by non-licensed employees 24/7 whose only job is to source the call to the agent whose listing or marketing efforts generated the call.
This “ALL CALL” system rewards your personal investments in marketing, referral generation, and insures that no matter where you are you get the return you need on the marketing you do.
No, I do not compete with my own Associates. I will always “back out” and help them to get the listing if I find I am working with a listing they are working on. But by being active in our marketplace I am better able to lead, train, coach, and counsel our Sales Associates. Real estate is moving too fast and changing too rapidly to attempt to lead, train, and coach agents based on 15 year old sales tactics!
Yes, there are several ways to receive relocation business at RE/MAX Masters. Many of our agents have worked out individual relationships with relocation companies through the years and therefore receive leads from those providers directly.
However, the number one source of relocation business is direct referrals from 120,000+ other RE/MAX affiliates all over the world. Those leads are typically directed at our agents through their presence on the RE/MAX Web Roster, our intranet site, and do not come through the office management.
Office staff enters listings for you if you choose.
RE/MAX is very protective of their trademark, as it is one of the most recognizable trademarks in the world. For the past several years, it has been recognized as one of the Top 10 trademarks in the world, alongside brands such as McDonald's, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Blockbuster, and more. We continually receive calls to our management saying, "we don't care who we list with, as long as it's a RE/MAX agent." When we have results such as these, we don't feel it's necessary to change the formula by diluting the logo and marks in yard signs. We highly encourage agents to brand themselves, but not on the signs as they are one of the most effective marketing tools we have.
RE/MAX Masters has, in the past, helped to negotiate a much-reduced rate with the Toledo Blade. If you are interested in advertising in the paper, you may purchase an individual ad for your listings for as little as $30 per ad.
We also control the very visible back page of the Harmon Homes Guide and let our Associates advertise individual homes there at a reduced rate.
No, as we've found that our agents that focus on selling real estate rather than recruiting other agents are much more productive and focused on their clients.
Yes! On topics such as team-building, hiring assistants, improving technology, quarterly CE classes, marketing, creative listing presentations, taking production "to the next level", and advanced designation courses (such as the ABR, CRS, CRB, CLHMS, SRES and more). Training is available to the RE/MAX agent through Regional Trainers, National Trainers brought in by our Regional office, Top-Producing agents in our office, the RE/MAX Satellite Network, and "Agent Training on Demand"—our intranet training sight available to you 24 hours per day.
Our commitment to the Brian Buffinni designed 100 Days to Greatness Program is so strong that we make it mandatory for all new and affiliating Sales Associates. It will absolutely change your career.
We have sales meetings at least every other month. While they are not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you attend each one. Many legal issues as well as industry trends and marketing ideas are covered in these highly-professional meetings that typically include rich peer interaction.
