Jon Modene started selling real estate in 1988.
Their start up firm affiliated for 5 years with Century 21. Rapid growth went hand in hand with aggressive action to place the focus on a whole new area – putting the client and customer first.
Jon did not subscribe to the "old ways". He shook things up in his pursuit of a vision to give clients the services they needed and wanted.
In 1994 Jon led his company to be the first RE/MAX office in the Toledo Board of REALTORS. RE/MAX had 0% market share then. Now, RE/MAX is the leading real estate brand in Northwest Ohio with a dominant, #1 market share in all local markets.
Not content to just introduce RE/MAX to Northwest Ohio, Jon was instrumental in changing the real estate business in Toledo. He introduced buyer agency and buyer representation. The "market" said "YES!" but the old broker said "NO". The market won.
Jon was a leader in introducing the "All Call System" to end floor time and free agents from the shackles of the floor desk. He started advertising in color in the local real estate magazine. He put his photo on his cards and signs. He formed the first local real estate team. He introduced seller property disclosure and agency forms before the State of Ohio mandated these vital consumer safeguards. He ended the practice of subagency in the Toledo real estate market.
RE/MAX Masters expanded into the Sylvania market with a new office concept where every Sales Associate has their own private suite with its' own private entrance.
Each agent is trained to provide quality service and has to get the Quality Service Certified accreditation training and designation.
The brokerage and its agents actively support select charities and the entire office is a "Miracle Office" which means that each transaction generates a contribution from the Sales Associate to the Children's Miracle Network.
