When I joined RE/MAX Masters & RE/MAX Power in Sept. 2006, I was coming out of a Real Estate career attempt that had forced me to take on a full-time job, in addition to putting in full-time hours in real estate. IT JUST WASN'T WORKING! I researched the market and found RE/MAX Masters to have many "top performers" even in a "down" market. I was nervous, not only to leave the security of my full-time job, but also because of all the "horror" stories I had been brainwashed with of RE/MAX agents being evil, back-stabbing beasts that would chew you up and spit you out, not to mention, the enormous fees that would leave you penniless, lying in the gutter, unable to support your family, and unable to leave the business without DEBT. |
I am very proud to be a part of an organization that is viewed as a respected, professional, business. But "Pride" doesn't pay the bills. I have learned many tools of success here. When I joined, I had only 7 transactions in the prior 12 month period with my other brokerage, plus had to get a second full-time job. I found no support from them in helping me learn to grow a solid business.
In my first year with Masters, I have completed 20 transactions, an increase of 186%, while the dollar volume of my sales has increased by more than 300%...And I don't need to have a second job! In addition, I keep nearly 20% more of my commissions, than with my prior brokerage, while my business is continuing to grow even in a "down" market! I have also created a wonderful alliance with many of the agents at RE/MAX Masters. We often share our ideas and work as a team to make our brokerage a collection of the very best real estate professionals in the region.
